Taking a page from civil rights history. The Green Book was originally created by the Black Community to mark safe places to visit and travel. IN•TACT is doing a similar project. We will contact businesses and ask them to sign a pledge, and in so doing we add them to our Pink Book and give them a window cling of our Pink Triangle logo to put in their window or door to show they are a safe place.
Volunteer Roles: Contacting businesses to sign the pledge, pass out window clings, update the spreadsheet.

In conjunction with The Center Project (TCP), IN•TACT helps provide aftercare support for those who have participated in submitting testimony at the capitol, attended rallies, or other events where care is required. IN•TACT and TCP provide blankets, hot drinks, mental health and spiritual health supports. Quiet activities are also provided so folks have a place to decompress after a stressful experience.
Volunteer Roles: help greet folks, help set/clean up.

In conjunction with The Center Project and other local organizations and programs we provide lessons on a variety of topics as presentations or hands-on workshops to educate our community on our history, to provide life skills, or to help teach community members to advocate for themselves.

Remembrance and Visibility Events - These are events to remember those who have died in our community from violence and suicide such as Trans Day of Remembrance in November, or to celebrate our existence and awareness such as Trans Day of Visibility. We would like to do these events for Non-binary and Intersex people too.
Other Events - Events such as awareness, rallies, protests, and town halls need to be held and planned. These will often be in conjunction with other groups.
Volunteer roles: helping set/clean up. Greet attendees, help fold/print programs, print/post flyers, share on social media, take photos

Legislative Sessions happen in January through April for the regular session for Missouri, and there may be opportunities to testify at city council as well. There are also rallies, protests and other events that may need speakers.
Volunteer Role: Write testimony and attend hearings if possible. Spread the word to folks about the need for testimony/rally/protest. Put up flyers for rallies/events. May also participate in setting up/clean up.

Going to events takes a vehicle and it is easier, safer, and less expensive overall to ride together. Providing rides is a great way to make sure we get to where we need to safely.
Volunteer Role: carpooling would be providing transportation to events.

it’s important to let people know what we are up to. We will need social media accounts that have posts of images from our events and activities and to advertise. Social Media volunteers may also be asked to help with our website.
Volunteer roles: make posts about our upcoming events and activities.

Newsletter - IN•TACT sends free quarterly newsletters about our ongoing activities to folks that sign up. Newsletters would cover recent events, upcoming events, and how to get involved.
Publication - This would be a quarterly publication with art, journalistic pieces, editorials, and the Pink Book. This would be a paid subscription style zine. The subscription helps support IN•TACT programs and events.
Volunteer Roles: Reach out to folks and help add them to the sign up sheet. Share any news of upcoming events with the Newsletter Team. Possibly take photos at events to share in the newsletter/publication.
